Hosts are various non-profit, governmental and potentially for profit, environmental organizations. Organizations that agree to Host a film will have a member on the steering committee. The steering committee, working with the event coordinators, will develop a plan to organize the film showing and find sponsors.
Each Host will select a film and decide on an interactive component that further develops some of the themes introduced by the film. It may be an expert speaker or advocate, or it might be a reception or educational activity. The hosts will also provide publicity through their websites, newsletters and listserv. They will work with event co-coordinators to write a press release about 10 days before the event; write an op-ed article and create or obtain from film company, a poster or posters to hang at the library and through out the downtown area.
